What can you do?

Some people are still oblivious to these plans. The best thing you can do is tell people. Join our Facebook Group and share with friends.

We have created a .GOV petition which will mean the project and our points will need to be debated in Parliament, signing that will be important, also encouraging all family, neighbours and friends to sign. Numbers are important.

Sign the .GOV petition. We want the project to be Debated in Parliament.

The project has to go through Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects process. And it’s at the stage we can have our say at hearings.

Summary of the upcoming meetings:

All meetings are taking place at Royal Suite, Grand Hotel, North Promenade Sea Front, Blackpool, FY1 2JQ and by virtual means using Microsoft Teams, or observe via livestream on https://national-infrastructure-consenting.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/projects/EN020032

This will require everyone’s maximum effort. BP is using the Government’s green energy targets to secure itself and its partners a massive 6-8 year construction project, supporting their construction companies’ bottom lines at the expense of the Fylde when there are cheaper, quicker, and more environmentally friendly routes to take. This is not anti-green energy; it’s about the right way to get it rather than just the most profitable for BP at our collective expense.

Thousands of tonnes of concrete set into already waterlogged land.

Hours of delays going anywhere across the Fylde, for many years.

Greenbelt and farmland destroyed. Land that can take 30 years to recover
